Unlike many other political organisations and unions, the BPU receives no funding from the colonial Government or capitalist Corporations. We believe that a large part of self-determination is ridding ourselves from the constraints and conditions that come with being financially subservient to our exploiters and oppressors - only by being financially independent can we be in a position to challenge the capitalist and colonial structures.

No one at the BPU takes any form of income from the BPU - every donated dollar we receive goes straight back in to funding the BPU’s activities in supporting Indigenous communities through our Community Solidarity Fund.
