Community Solidarity Fund

Since our formation, the Black Peoples Union has always stood in solidarity with First Nations people on the frontlines of struggle. Too often, our people are left without the safety nets that others take for granted. The Community Solidarity Fund is our way of pooling resources so that we can step in quickly, directly, and without red tape when our community needs support most.

Through this fund, we have already been able to stand alongside:

  • Single mothers, helping them secure safe accommodation for themselves and their children.

  • Grandmothers raising grandchildren, helping cover rent arrears, overdue bills, groceries, and other urgent costs after unexpected hardship.

  • Families in sorry business, ensuring loved ones are laid to rest with dignity.

  • Incarcerated First Nations individuals, providing one-off support so they can stay connected with family and legal assistance.

  • Victims of domestic violence, offering immediate aid to escape dangerous situations.

  • Community infrastructure, from BBQs and eskies for our Dandenong Community Kitchen to essential equipment for protest camps such as Camp Sovereignty.

Every contribution, no matter how small, goes directly to meeting these urgent needs. This fund is a way for people to contribute directly to supporting those in need in the ongoing struggle for justice, dignity, and survival.

If you are able, please donate today. Recurring donations are preferred but one-off donations are also very welcome.
